extending a home doesn’t get any easier than this!
our brief was to extend an existing weatherboard home to create an open plan kitchen/living/dining area, separate rumpus room, child’s bedroom and bathroom. it was important for our client to optimise the floorplan of the existing house whilst creating a strong architectural contrast between the old and new areas
black painted shadowclad on the exterior of the 3 modules comprising the extension as well as black aluminium window and door frames and a contrasting pacific teak finish for the decking are all elements that combined to make the new area of this home a crisp, clear addition but it is the glass link between the existing home and the first module that make this transition seamless
craned into place in a single day using a 450 tonne crane, our client was able to live in their home for the entirety of the construction process and was able to visit our factory on a regular basis to check on the progress of their new additions. Our site installation team installed the screw piles ready to receive the modules approximately 3 weeks prior to the modules arriving and our client had the bbq going and the champagne flowing as he watched his house double in size in a day!
