Mt Eliza Primary School
Modscape collaborated closely with project management company Sensum Group to design and construct a new prefabricated modular classroom with eight additional learning spaces for Mt Eliza Primary School.The project is part of the Victorian Government’s Permanent Modular School Buildings Program, with the permanent modular solution offering a fast and efficient option for the school. With less time needed for planning and construction, the replacement of the older buildings containing asbestos could occur quickly – reducing disruption to students, staff and teaching programs.
The construction occurred off-site at Modscape’s modular construction hub in Brooklyn in just 12 weeks, with the modules being installed in a day during the school holidays.
High-performing acoustic paneling and double-glazed windows create a comfortable learning environment for the students while recessive curved walls, coupled with a bold material palette, enhances the design’s vibrancy.
