One Wall, Three Ways

Tetris design feature in Oxygen Youth Facility project by Modscape

We have put together three innovative DIY design products that will transform your walls from lacklustre to inspiring, including two gems that will be used in the Oxygen Youth Facility project for Moreland City Council.

These modern and eco-friendly 3D wall panels by Wall Art instantly transform a boring wall into a sustainable work of art. Made from 100% recycled and biodegradable sugarcane fibre residue, the panels come in 21 unique designs that are glued, filled and sanded to create a seamless three dimensional wall that when installed, can be left natural or painted to suit the interior of your home or office. We were particularly taken by this Tetris design which will be used as a natural feature wall in the Oxygen Youth Facility project.

Patterned paint rollers have been used in Europe for over 100 years as an alternative to wallpaper, but it took a damp home and a trip to Romania for The Painted House co-founder Claire Bosanquet to realize their undiscovered potential. Adapted slightly from the originals, The Painted House patterned paint rollers come in a range of designs to help you get inspired. The rollers can be used to rejuvenate and reinvent tired walls as an alternative to wallpaper, as well as print fabrics, perk up old wooden furniture and make reams of wrapping paper simply by changing the roller applicator.

Pinboards are not just for playing. Cube by Autex is a high-density, semi-rigid panel made from 100% polyester (65% of which is made from post-consumer materials). Cube has a range of applications such as partition panels, room dividers and acoustic walls, but mostly it’s just a fabulous way to spruce up your walls with minimal maintenance or fuss. The material comes in a variety of colours and doubles as a pinboard surface once installed. We’re using the colour Slate as a wall finish for the Oxygen Youth Facility project.
